The prestigious British Claims Awards ceremony took place on 8th June at the Leonardo Royal London St Paul’s. The event brought together the insurance industry's top professionals, organisations, and experts. Sedgwick, Zurich, Auger and Allianz were in attendance to name but a few, outlining how highly anticipated the British Claims Awards is in the insurance industry.
The ceremony also places a commitment to raising money for charity, in which Aspray corporate sponsors ANDYSMANCLUB were also a part of. A partnership that has already been marked with two large-scale fundraising opportunities.
Aspray faced fierce competition in the ‘Loss Assessor of the Year’ category, which included esteemed competitors such as Harris Balcombe, Morgan Clark, and Oakleafe Claims. Despite the formidable competition, Aspray emerged victorious, a testament to their exceptional performance and dedication to their service.
The ‘Loss Assessor of the Year’ award is a significant milestone for Aspray, acknowledging the hard work and relentless effort put in by the team. Aspray's success is built on a foundation of providing exceptional customer service, always placing the customer at the heart of every claim they handle.
Aspray understands the stress and uncertainty that individuals and businesses face when property damage occurs. This award recognises the service, systems and support in place to ultimately ensure Aspray has a solution for all policyholders no matter what their situation is.
The British Claims Awards judges said on the night: "Aspray has created an end-to-end major loss offering for commercial policyholders that is smooth and delivered to the highest standards.”
Validating Aspray’s achievements are the many testimonials that they have received from third party insurance brokers. A brokerage in the Midlands said the following:
“We are relatively small, and their service increases our resources. It enables us via Aspray’s reps to visit clients when they suffer a loss.
“They see the damage first hand. We have regular updates that keep us and the clients firmly in the picture.”
Managing Director, James Whittle, collected the award on the night. The firm was founded in 2005, and while humble in its origins, a culture of hard-work, determination and unwavering commitment to the policyholder was quickly put in place. As the years have gone by, Aspray has grown its field staff, moved offices and introduced a careful selection of experts to its Head Office cast.
James Whittle said:
“We are honored to be named 'Loss Assessor of the Year' at the British Claims Awards. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire team.
“At Aspray, we firmly believe in putting the customer first, and this award reinforces our dedication to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions. We will continue to strive for excellence and raise the bar in the insurance claims industry."
The journey does not end here for Aspray. With this fantastic achievement, members of the organisation are more committed and motivated than ever to lead the way as officially the UK’s number one Loss Assessor.

It’s seeing people satisfied, happy and resolved and knowing that over the ten years you’ve helped people get back to their life. You see the homeowner, or policyholder satisfied and smiling, or you that the claims has caused them the minimum inconvenience, that’s what you have achieved for them.Roy Bowen
Since the start, I have taken part in the peer-to-peer support offered through head office. I feel it’s important to be engaged and involved with this type of support. I don’t want to see people in the network struggle and at the same time, it allows me the opportunity to learn and grow from others that do the same job in different ways.Jack Parkhouse
