Bill is a broadly experienced business leader and strategist with a proven track record in sales and profit improvement. He has successfully applied his management skills to a number of sectors including retail, food services, manufacturing and business services.
Working at the highest level, Bill has been responsible for delivering strategic drive, mapping achievable success for companies, their staff and customers. His formative career years were spent with Tesco where he learnt basic management skills before moving to the Greater Nottingham Co-operative Society and developing his strategic and analytical ability.
All the above has proved essential to subsequent roles in which he has spearheaded business development and more general turnaround projects, included in his impressive portfolio are roles as the CEO of Klaussner Ltd a £30 million turnover manufacturer and national retailer, the Director of Pearl Centre Holdings Ltd a jewellery retailer with showrooms in European tourist destinations and Gran Canaries.
Bill believes that most business owners go into commerce for a particular reason, but due to the daily grind of working in the business they often find they are not fulfilling their ultimate ambitions. While not at work Bill and his fiancée enjoy the frustration of learning to ballroom dance,then using the release of shooting at (sometimes hitting) clay pigeons. As they have tried training their cat they now both subscribe to the view of many pet owners that while dogs have masters, cats (including theirs) have servants.
