This sweep of success across the board of awards demonstrates the variety of businesses and industries that Sandler Training works with and the winning edge that Sandler gives to its clients.

Shaun Thomson, CEO of Sandler Training in the UK, comments: “We were surprised and delighted to find that the common denominator for success in the awards was that many of the winners were Sandler trained. It’s great to see so many of our clients getting the success they deserve.”

Through understanding what it takes to make a business flourish, Sandler Training franchisees help their clients across the UK achieve incremental growth. Mark Wormald bought a Sandler Training franchise in 2005, which has bought him financial success and a better work/life balance. It has also brought him personal satisfaction in helping other’s fulfil their potential.

“Before Sandler Training, I was constantly thinking about money. Now my aim is to build a really good business that helps others to achieve their goals,” he explains.

Thriving franchisees and prestigious awards alike are a testament to the power of the Sandler Selling System; moreover, successful clients are providing the accolades.

Mark Valentine, sales director, Universal Tanker Services, says: “[Before Sandler] I spent a lot of time chasing customers, giving away my expertise and information whilst being treated poorly by potential customers and buyers. Sandler Training franchiseesTom Fenwick-Brown owns a Sandler Training franchise in the North East of England. Mr Fenwick-Brown has spent 36 years in sales, sales management and marketing with companies such as Pfizer, Black & Decker, Firestone Tyres and Sony UK. In 2005, with a view to retiring, he sold his own business that he set up in 1990. It was a chance encounter that led to his link-up with Sandler Training. His office in the North East was quickly established and the fishing rod and easel were gathering dust.

One of his clients is the global management, engineering and development consultancy Mott MacDonald, whose $1.5 billion business spans 140 countries, with over 12,000 staff. Mott MacDonald sent business development co-ordinator Steven Leigh to Sandler Training’s President’s Club programme. He says: “Personally, I have seen the Sandler programme as a self development opportunity for me. I think about things in different ways now and feel more confident in the way I deal with people. The results, so far, have been very impressive.”

Mr Fenwick-Brown says: “Sandler Training offers a much more mature and adult approach, and is all about honesty and integrity. Being a Sandler Training franchisee is about helping others improve their sales effectiveness and modify their own attitude and behaviour. I should have done this 20 years ago.”
