Before becoming a World Options Franchisee Mike worked for City Link in the Midlands. As Mike had encountered World Options whilst working for City Link, and was impressed by the company, he was delighted when he discovered that they were launching the franchise opportunity. Mike met with the directors on the Friday and resigned from his job on the Monday securing his first two customers on the same day.
When Mike first took on his World Options franchise in 2012 he had a phone, a laptop and lots of determination. Since then Mike has gone from strength to strength and operates his sales franchise with tenacity and sheer hard work. Mike believes that you need to be a good sales person to really hit the big numbers and that the more calls you make the more customers you will secure. During his first few months he literally made call after call all day, every day.
Mike has worked very hard, there is no doubt about that. He knows the customers are out there and he has used his sales skills and his ambition to build a very successful and reputable franchise. He enjoys the freedom he gets with the courier franchise and likes that he can run it his way. For Mike the fact that there is so much selling involved is great as that is what he does well.
With over 4 million businesses in the UK exporting this is the ideal UK franchise for Mike as he can run it from home the way he wants to. He gets plenty of admin support from the World Options team which frees him up to prospect for potential customers. Mike has so far reached the £250k turnover milestone and is now looking ahead to his next milestone of £500k – beyond this he plans to achieve the million milestone.
Mike says that this is without a doubt the best career move he has ever made and since taking on the franchise he has never looked back.
