Bristol Franchise Show, Friday 19th & Saturday 20th October 2007 - sponsored by Totalfranchise.co.uk
Following the hugely successful debut franchise exhibition in Leicester, the Job Done team are bringing the roadshow to Bristol this Autumn. The exhibition is the type of thing budding tycoons based in the West Country would normally have to visit Birmingham or London to see. However, this year, 45 of Britain’s most innovative and exciting franchise opportunities have decided to descend at the home of Bristol City FC, Ashton Gate.
Visitors to the show are usually encouraged that Franchising is considered by many as the safer way to start a business. In short, you form a new company but are cushioned by a ready made brand and a proven step-by-step guide to running the whole thing. It’s no idle browse though. Free seminars run throughout the whole two days ranging from banking advice to motivational talks from of BBC TV’s the Apprentice.
There will also be 1-2-1 advice to help define the best type of franchise for individuals plus a “how I made it” forum to ask questions to franchisees, which, once upon a time, started their empire by attending shows just like this.
But why do these companies all come to Bristol?
Mark Monument, of organisers Job Done, explains: “The exhibitors are pro-active. They are not sitting waiting for their office phone to ring because someone has found them by chance on a Google search. The exhibitors want a branch, a representative an agent or depot here in the West Country. And that’s exactly why they are here….simply to meet people who live and wish to run their business here”.
Mark goes on: “It’s not all about making (or investing) fortunes. Most exhibitors are looking for dedicated individuals who want to carve out a pleasant living and lifestyle for themselves. There’s a bit of everything here for everyone – for plumbers, for accountants, for those interested in property, for those looking retail, or catering, or care homes. And, for once, you don’t have to travel to the NEC or London to see it all”.
In summary, it’s a great two days to generate business ideas for anyone. Whether it be recent graduates, mums returning to work, those recently redundant, early retired or simply individuals looking for a career change. A new business is here on a plate for you.
The show takes place over two days – Friday 19th October & Saturday 20th October at Ashton gate Stadium, home of Bristol City Football Club. There is no entrance fee; there’s plenty of free car parking and all the seminars and advisory sessions are included. It seems you just need to be a free thinking entrepreneur to benefit from it all.
