The Local Bookkeeper's Horsham franchisee Kelly Derham had been running a bookkeeping business over the past 5 years and decided now was the time to expand her business. Alex King of The Local Bookkeeper explains:
"Kelly attended our one week training course, this covered all skills needed to run our franchise successfully. These areas include, leadership, management, human resources, sales and marketing, then our methods and processes of bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll and other aspects of our services.
Like Kelly, all franchisees have to be experienced or qualified bookkeepers prior to joining the franchise, we do not recruit or train franchisees that are not previous bookkeepers. After the inhouse training Kelly Derham then passed our 'after training assignment' with flying colours.
Whilst this was happening, the launch campaign was under way, upon returning to the office Kelly was welcomed as a franchisee with a selection of leads from businesses who required bookkeeping services within Kelly's franchise area."
