Signs Express (Exeter) are delighted to be bucking the economic trend with continuing expansion and a recent investment in a dedicated sign installation team. Director Nick Baxter-Sibley commented: “We’ve been seeing a steady increase in demand and orders for more than 12 months now, to the point where we are significantly ahead of pre-recession levels of business.
We’ve always installed our own signs and the sustained increased demand has enabled us to invest in setting up our own dedicated team, with the recruitment of an additional experienced member of staff and purchase of a large, fully-equipped van.
As well as completing our own installations we are also able to satisfy increasing requests for sub-contract work from local, regional & national sign companies for our experienced team to carry out installations.
Throughout the recession we have continued to invest in training and development and are now in the position of having a group of well trained and qualified staff to take on just about any installation challenge, complying with all legal, environmental & health & safety requirements”.
onfirming the standards that the company works to they have recently been re-accredited under the nationally recognized ‘SAFEcontractor’ scheme – an increasingly common requirement for suppliers working on sign installations for major clients such as the Met Office. Having completed a record summer period the business is also looking to continue their growth with the likely recruitment of an apprentice in the near future.
Signs Express (Exeter) is the locally owned branch of the country’s largest sign company. The business, co-owned by Directors Nick & Marion Baxter-Sibley, has been in existence for over 16 years, operating from modern purpose built business premises on Matford Business Park, Marsh Barton. The company employs 11 staff working for a wide variety of small and large local clients including Flybe, the Met Office & Exeter University, as well as national clients such as Mercedes-Benz & McDonalds.
