Bluebird Care reports record growth

"Every single month, our monthly figures are better than ever before, which demonstrates our outstanding performance in challenging economic conditions." - Paul Tarsey, Bluebird Care

The UK’s foremost care-at-home provider Bluebird Care has reported record growth – with each month’s performance always outstripping the last.

Every single month, Bluebird Care has reported growth of between 10 to 15 per cent – with group turnover now approaching £20m and the company making over one million care visits a year.

The rapid growth has been achieved in the midst of economic turmoil and recession, with no compromise on customer service or high standards of care.

Bluebird Care Managing Director Paul Tarsey said, “Every single month, our monthly figures are better than ever before, which demonstrates our outstanding performance in challenging economic conditions. Despite our rapid and sustained growth, we are not complacent and have retained our commitment to good, old-fashioned service at all times, while at the same time becoming a modern, forward-thinking company of the 21st Century.

"We are the fastest growing provider of care-at-home in the UK and attribute our success to the depth of experience in our board room, which is second to none within the industry. We have first-class business systems and a proven track record and this is reflected in our performance.

“To put our success into perspective, we have care workers calling on customers well over one million times a year – each time making a huge difference and allowing people to stay out of hospital and residential care, and at home where they want to be.”

The Bluebird Care success story started in 2006, when the company started to franchise its services, hoping to open 12 new offices in 12 months. In reality, they opened 24 in the first year, and now have 90 offices across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Prior to that, husband-and-wife team Paul and Lisa Tarsey operated the first Bluebird Care office from premises in Petersfield, using their combined depth of experience to establish a successful business model, which they then offered as a franchise opportunity.

Paul said, “We now have 20 people at our Petersfield base, providing core business support to our 90 offices and promoting ongoing training, to allow our franchise owners to develop strong and successful businesses. We have come a long way in just four years and out performed all our business projections – and expect to open our 100th office by the end of the year.”
