Bluebird Care’s first franchisee to open second office – with one of her first employees at the helm.

"I am really looking forward to heading the care team when the new office opens in the Spring. We offer good-old-fashioned service, and consistently high standards, and I am proud to be part of that.”

When Sue Milakovic opened the first Bluebird Care franchise back in April 2007, Allen Willey was one of her first care workers.

Now – just three years on – Sue has defied the recession and is setting up a second office in Stafford – and promoted Allen as her care manager.

Allen’s meteoric rise is a tribute to his own drive and ambition – plus Bluebird Care’s investment in training and staff development.

He said, “I have been a carer since I was 13 and have worked in the care industry for 17 years. I have been given so much opportunity and support, since joining Bluebird Care, and they have funded my NVQ, Level 4 management qualification. I am really looking forward to heading the care team when the new office opens in the Spring. We offer good-old-fashioned service, and consistently high standards, and I am proud to be part of that.”

Bluebird Care’s managing director Paul Tarsey said, “Sue and Allen have come a long way in three, short years. That office was our first franchise and the office was so new that I went to Cannock and did the care induction training myself. They are both a credit to Bluebird Care and we wish them every luck with their new venture.”

The new office, on the Staffordshire Technology Park in Stafford, will create up to 30 news jobs in the area and provide top quality, care-at-home for local people.

Sue Milakovic was the first person to choose a Bluebird Care franchise back in October 2006 when she signed up for her first office in Cannock, West Midlands.

During that time, Sue has “grown” a successful home care business – while Bluebird Care have expanded rapidly, opening another 63 offices across the UK and Ireland.

The Hampshire-based company currently operates offices in five countries – stretching from Cardiff to Canterbury and Limerick to Edinburgh.

Bluebird Care attributes a large part of its success to tailoring its care packages to mirror public demand; with the emphasis on a straightforward, professional approach and recognition of each customer’s individual needs.
