XIX Commonwealth Games. A postscript from Auditel, an ’Official Friend’ of the England Team

The Commonwealth Games ended in a blaze of colour and music last week.

This morning, Chef de Mission Craig Hunter, said: “Our medal tally from Delhi is higher than it was in Melbourne 2006...but there’s no doubt our team has been enormously successful, and to be third on the table is exactly where we wanted to be.”

Auditel, the cost and purchase management franchise, was proud to have given support to the England Team. Commonwealth Games England confirmed that the ‘Official Friends’ had contributed to the success of the England Team providing much needed support for athletes enabling them to prepare and compete for their country. “This valued contribution to the team effort is acknowledged with grateful thanks.”

Laurence Knott, Auditel’s Head of Marketing, said: “The quality which stood out for me during the games was the athletes’ determination and striving for excellence. However, matching this desire for excellence was also the quality of fellowship.

Everyone appreciated the Australian silver medallist congratulating the young English gold medal winner at the end of the diving competition. It’s interesting that both these qualities are also implicit in ethical franchising.
