*The Senior Management team of global franchisor Antal International held their Leaders Summit in Beijing last month. A recent review of the company confirmed that in just 6 months 3 additional overseas offices were launched – Nigeria, Malta and Belgium and a further 4 in the UK.

Liz Kilford, Franchise Development Director had extensive meetings with three prospective franchisees for Thailand, Singapore and South China whilst in Beijing: “The calibre of prospects I have seen recently has been strong. From my meetings in Beijing, Thailand will be joining the network by the end of the year, alongside launching into South Africa.”

It was agreed that the franchise development would be focussed on fast growing emerging economies, such as India. Doug Bugie, Senior Advisor to the Antal Board commented: “The amount of work being referred with our Indian office in Mumbai is phenomenal, no other recruiter shares fees quite like Antal does – and it is testament to this current success that more offices will be launched there within the next quarter.”

The 4-day programme covered key areas such as how to overcome the war for talent from a global perspective; how the movement of human capital cross-border was a contributing factor for clients using Antal, and how improvements could be made on the already highly successful fee-sharing system, which currently stands at over 28% of all revenue generated.

Kilford added: “It is evident from this summit that the war for talent is a global issue, we at Antal are in a position to identify global trends whilst acknowledging local idiosyncrasies – this alone clearly differentiates ourselves from other recruiters in our marketplace, and proves to our franchisees that they are joining a truly innovative organisation.”

During the trip the team also had an opportunity to visit some of Beijing’s main tourists sites including Tiananmen Square, and the Great Wall. The next key event in Antal’s diary is the 2007 Global Conference to be held in London in November where all 61 offices will be invited to attend.
