We are attracting people who have made the decision to be their own boss, are perfectly capable in setting up in practice by themselves but can see the strength of our brand - David Paulson, Franchise Recruitment Manager, TaxAssist

TaxAssist Accountants are delighted to say that 2009 has been an excellent year for new franchises joining the network. Over the year a total of twenty four new franchisees have joined bringing the UK network to 175 franchisees.

It would be easy to put this down to the recession and whilst it’s true that around 25% of the new franchisees joining this year have opted for redundancy, everyone joining TaxAssist Accountants has had the option of a good career path or setting up in practice themselves but has taken the decision to join us.

David Paulson, Franchise Recruitment Manager, explains “We’re not looking for people who have been forced into redundancy, can’t get a job and want to join us because they are running out of options.

“With the strength of our business model and the size of our network (we now have over 30,000 clients) we are attracting people who have made the decision to be their own boss, are perfectly capable in setting up in practice by themselves but can see the strength of our brand, the awards that we have won this year and the value in the support services that we provide”.

Franchisees do not need any formal accountancy qualifications as full training is given, but you do need to have a relevant career background, be self motivated, disciplined, ambitious, hardworking and keen to build a substantial successful business.
