Industry Profile - Brides on Ice! - I Do Mag's latest Wedding Show a Huge Success!

4th November 2011

On Sunday September 11th over 3000 brides and grooms descended on the Olympic Ice stadium for the latest I Do Magazine Wedding Exhibition. Ice Sheffield had never witnessed anything like it before.

I Do Magazine Franchise Wedding ExhibitionAll the preparation and planning for the event had begun 10 months prior and as the trucks rolled in the car park on the Friday afternoon it all came down to this. Only minutes previously skaters had been training for the up and coming Olympic games, now a calm silence had fallen on Pad 2.

Working through Friday night the team firstly had to board out and carpet the entire 1600sq metre Ice Rink only then in the early hours of Saturday could the shell scheme and catwalk stage build begin.

I Do Magazine Franchise Wedding ExhibitionEverything went without a hitch and the build was completed on time ready for the 137 exhibitors to Set up their stands on Saturday afternoon and Early Sunday.

On the morning of the Show as usual the whole I Do team readied themselves in anticipation of opening.

Sarah from I Do Magazine told us “We’re always a bit nervous before the show starts, in the back of your mind you know a lot of brides are going to turn up and it’s going to be a busy day, but you never know just how busy”. She needn’t have worried, the I Do team registered over 3000 brides and grooms on the day and all exhibitors had an amazing day.

Here’s what some of them had to say:
